As we prepare to enter into the 2020 holiday season who could of imagined that things would become so serious .

The music industry has always been a neglected area almost every country, but since this Global Pandemic the Australian music Industry has once again been hit with major losses Many jobs effecting thousands of talented individuals. The problem we have is, while the government tries to keep all our other industries afloat the music industry seems to be forgotten.

A life boat package was issued to the music industry which on appearances seemed to be a well needed injection, but once the smoke cleared it was obvious that the life boat was only for the high end companies that would benefit, leaving thousands of artists in the cold.

With major businesses within the Industry being forced to close, it is no wonder musicians and artists alike are feeling the brunt of this global Crisis.

The statistics clearly show over two hundred million dollars in loss of income and that's not counting the small businesses that had to let go of all there workers. Hundreds of thousands of dollar's worth of equipment sitting in holding yards all over Australia gathering dust.

While the statistics show a gloomy forecast there is a glimmer of light happening in Sydney right now with the Australian government working hand in hand with the clubs, pubs and the music industry.

Venues are now opening up doing there part in trying to keep the music industry alive with more bands and artists being put on while still adhering to the new Covid restrictions. No one can predict the future but if we all play our part we can help build a stronger industry which extends beyond the music industry, it is all connected.

So now this is where we all can play our part, jump on social media and see what shows are on, help support our artists, keep music alive, yes the new restrictions are a new reality but we are flexible and like many Aussies before us, we will always overcome.

Keep Music Alive.
